Lerato Lee Mokonyane
Lerato Lee Mokonyane
Chef Lee is a passionate advocate of simple, nutritious & sustainable home cooking. She is an inspiration for families creating their own healthy food lifestyle. She’s always been intrigued by food in the scientific sense, specifically how it affects people’s health which is what motivated her to obtain a qualification in Consumer Science – Food and Nutrition after completing her culinary qualification.
She is strongly influenced by mixing African culinary ideologies and techniques and this has led to her developing her own fusion style of cooking. She is also the founder of Good Food Studio – a creative food consultancy agency that helps restaurants, event managers, and hospitality venue owners create memorable food experiences.
“A large part of establishing GFS involves being able to help black food-service professionals showcase their work – creating a safe space for creators within the industry. I want to celebrate my heritage as a Black woman through the art of cooking.”
